On October 15, 2026, the BWOPA Solano/Napa Chapter hosted this gathering to thank Solano County's elected officials and offer candidates a well-deserved moment to unwind during the final stretch of their 2026 campaigns. Our guests' smiles and the incredible energy in the room said it all. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wildly successful evening of community building.

After we mingling, munching and sipping, BWOPA sister and event sponsor Mortisha Perkins took the stage as emcee. She kicked off the program by introducing BWOPA Chapter President Latressa Wilson Alford, who delivered a powerful message of gratitude, encouragement, and solidarity. President Alford emphasized the vital need for community unity, reminding everyone that BWOPA stands behind all Solano County candidates working for the betterment of our county, emphasizing the need for unity regardless of party, or any other kind of divider.

The evening’s program continued with remarks from several distinguished friends and leaders:

• Alejandro Cabrera of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation shared a warm welcome on behalf of his Tribal Council.

• Solano County Supervisors Wanda Williams and Cassandra James took the stage to share their thoughts and express their thanks.

• Candidate Brianna Rogers expressed her deep appreciation for the opportunity to run and the unwavering support of BWOPA.

• Solano County Poet Laureate Genea Brice closed out the speakers with an artistically eloquent spoken-word performance centered on unity and literacy.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible sponsors and honorary hosts who made this event possible.
